Getting Further Help
"man" pages
The man command can be used to look up information about a particular
command, including syntax for using it. To find out a command, simply type:
man commandname

CIS has a number of resources to aid you in using Harvey
Mudd's computing facilities. If you can't find the information you need in
these web pages, you can try e-mailing help-desk@hmc.edu, or phone the Help Desk at x77777. CIS also has
books on the basics of using unix available for loan. Contact them either at
x79000 or in person to inquire about borrowing a book.
