Students and others with email accounts on Odin have their email scanned by SpamAssassin. SpamAssassin inserts a line into the message header indicating the likelihood that tme message is spam. This line can then be used to filter the message if desired.

If SpamAssassin believes the message to be spam, the line 

X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=(some number)...
will appear in the email headers. You can use filters to search for 
X-Spam-Status: Yes
in the headers in order to filter spam.
