HMC
Types of Aid
When you apply for need-based financial aid, you will most likely be considered for three basic kinds of assistance:
- Scholarships and Grants: This is gift aid. Scholarships and grants need not be repaid and can be based on financial need, merit, or both.
- Education Loans: You may qualify for a subsidized (need-based) or an unsubsidized (non need-based) low-interest loan that allows for more flexible repayment options.
- Student Employment: Many students take part-time jobs offered through the Federal Work-Study program or other campus employment opportunities.
While exploring ways to pay for your college education, you can also take advantage of tax credits and HMC’s payment options.
