A student who is a California resident, but not currently receiving a Cal Grant or a student who lost Cal Grant eligibility based on income, asset, and financial need requirements, must apply for the Competitive Cal Grant Program by submitting a Cal Grant GPA Verification Form to the California Student Aid Commission on or before March 2, 2012. The Cal Grant GPA Verification Form is available to fill out and print at www.csac.ca.gov and must be certified by the Registrar's Office. Rising HMC sophomores must submit their Cal Grant GPA Verification Forms to their high schools for certification...Mail Early!
    NEW INFORMATION:
Continuing Cal Grant recipients do not need to submit the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form. However, based on California Education Code section 69432.7(k) effective March 24, 2011, Cal Grant eligibility must be determined each year. Cal Grant recipients will now need to meet income, asset, and financial need requirements, all of which previously applied only to initial Cal Grant recipients. For this reason, you must submit the 2012-2013 FAFSA on or before March 2, 2012.

  • For the 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you can start using the IRS data retrieval process. The IRS data retrieval process allows you and your parent(s) to download the tax return information to your FAFSA. Keep in mind that if you complete your FAFSA without using the IRS data retrieval process, you will be required to submit an "IRS Individual Tax Return Transcript" using Form 4506T-EZ to the Office of Financial Aid in order to meet the U.S. Department of Education verification regulations.
  • Harvey Mudd College is now offering electronic direct deposit to Federal Work-Study students.
  • Updated Consumer Information Disclosures! On August 2, 2011, President Barack Obama signed into law the Budget Control Act of 2011, which eliminates the in-school loan interest subsidy for graduate and professional students beginning July 1, 2012 and eliminates the Direct Loan Repayment incentives on or after July 1, 2012.
  • Loan documents are available under Federal Direct Loans and Federal Perkins Loans. Direct PLUS Loan documents are available under Loans for Parents.
  • Consumer Information Available on the College Navigator Website!
