Apply for Financial Aid Online

We highly recommend that when you’re applying for need-based financial aid, you make use of these online options:

FAFSA on the Web (FOTW)
: Using your Personal Identification Number (PIN), you can submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) entirely online. You can even save your FAFSA, and complete it over several sessions. Be sure to file your 2011 federal tax return early and use the FAFSA on the Web/IRS Data Retrieval. You may be required to submit an IRS Tax Return Transcript, if your FAFSA is selected for verification by the U.S. Department of Education. HMC's Federal School Code is 001171.

CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE
: Once you create an online account with The College Board, you will be able to complete your CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE application online and have it sent directly to HMC. HMC's CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE Code is 4341.
2012-2013 CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE Student Guide

Cal Grant GPA Verification Form (California residents only): If you are a first-year student, submit a GPA Verification Form to your high school counselor to complete and submit to the California Student Aid Commission by the March 2 deadline. Begin the process to submit the form well before that date. For continuing students, complete the student portion of the GPA Verification Form and submit it to the Registrar. The deadline for applying is March 2. If you do not receive a Cal Grant Entitlement Award during your first year or you are disqualified based on not meeting income, asset, and financial need requirements, you must reapply for a Competitive Cal Grant for your second, third, or fourth year.
NEW INFORMATION: Continuing Cal Grant recipients do not need to submit the Cal Grant G.P.A. Verification Form . However, based on California Education Code section 69432.7(k) effective March 24, 2011, Cal Grant eligibility must be determined each year. Cal Grant recipients will now need to meet income, asset, and financial need requirements, all of which previously applied only to initial Cal Grant recipients. For this reason, you must submit the 2012-2013 FAFSA on or before March 2, 2012.

College Board Institutional Documentation Service: Submit your and your parents' signed and complete federal tax returns and supplemental documents directly to IDOC with your personalized Cover Sheet.
