By now you probably have a pretty good idea of what we’re all about, from what our students are like to our rigorous curriculum and life outside the classroom.
Now it’s your turn; we want to get to know you. Your application is your chance to talk about yourself—what you’ve done, what inspires you, where you want to go in the future. We want to see how you’d fit into our community.
But don’t worry. Whether you’re applying as a first-year student or as a transfer student, we want to help you showcase your skills and talents. For starters, familiarize yourself with our admission dates and deadlines and do some serious thinking about what you want from your college experience. (If you’re an international student, we have some specific pointers for you.)
Harvey Mudd College accepts the Common Application, which you can also use to apply to over 300 other colleges and universities nationwide. In addition to the Common Application, be sure to submit the required HMC Supplement, which asks for some additional information specific to our College (including a second essay). The Supplement is available online at the Common Application website, www.commonapp.org.
Don't forget to keep track of financial aid deadlines too. Currently over 80% of the HMC student body receives either need-based or merit-based financial aid; we encourage you to use our website to learn how to apply.
