The Hixon-Riggs Visiting Professorship

Description
The Hixon-Riggs Visiting Professorship is offered to a senior scholar usually for a term of one year. The person may represent any one of a number of academic fields but must demonstrate a substantial interest in topics of "Science, Technology, and Society."

Hixon-Riggs Reading Group
Each spring, the Hixon-Riggs Visiting Professor leads a reading group in some area of interest. Participants are drawn from faculty and staff at all of the Claremont Colleges. Buffet dinner and books are provided by the Hixon-Riggs endowment.
