Professor Saeta ponders the mysteries of physics and pizza with students.

Besides moving on to excellent graduate programs and permanent jobs, our students win a variety of awards both within in the College and at the national level. Some recent highlights include:

  • 27 winners of prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowships since 1997
  • 3 winners of the American Physical Society’s Apker Award for the outstanding physics student in the country, in 1998, 2003, and 2006; 3 Apker finalists, in 2004, 2008, and 2009
  • 3 winners of Hertz Foundation Graduate Fellowships since 1998
  • Andrew Higginbotham (’09) and Kit Rodolfa (’04) winning Churchill Fellowships to spend a year of graduate study in England
