Faculty Position

The Chemistry Department invites applications for a two-year visiting position in physical chemistry for the 2010-2012 academic years. The successful candidate will in the course of two years teach classical thermodynamics and kinetics; group theory, quantum chemistry, and spectroscopy; physical chemistry laboratory; general chemistry; and general chemistry laboratory. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to involve students in original research. Excellent facilities for teaching and research are available, including state-of-the-art instrumentation (see www.chem.hmc.edu). A Ph.D. is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred but not required.
