We are interested in moving electrons over long distances, whether it be within large molecules or across interfaces.  Examples of the former include our experimental studies of electronic coupling within porphyrins while the later include tunneling through self-assembling systems on surfaces or the design of more efficient components in dye-sensitized solar cells.  We do a little of it all -- design, synthesis, and characterization using the tools of chemistry, physics, and materials science.
