Michelle Lum: Synthesis of Chitosan Functionalized with Acid-Amines; Advisor, Professor Shenda Baker.  I will be working with the Beckman Laser Institute for the summer at UCI.  My plans after that are to work for a year or two before applying to grad school.

Katie Mouzakis:  DNA Repair Efficiency, Thermal Stability, and Substrate Specificity of Variants of Human 8-Oxoguanine DNA Glycosylase 1 (hOGG1); Professor Karl Haushalter.  While at HMC, I participated in Varsity Athletics for 4 years, studied abroad in Athens, Greece, participated in student research in the Haushalter Lab for 2 years.  I also presented my research at the Keystone Symposia for Genomic Instability and Repair, and was a Chemistry-Biology Joint Major.  This past fall, I began my Ph.D. program in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Maidison. 

Kyle Zarzana:  Towards Precise Control of Metalloporphyrin Oligomer Length and Composition, Advisor Professor Hal Van Ryswyk.  I was accepted at the University of Colorado, Boulder and will start in 2008.
