Prof. McFadden’s primary experimental organisms are soft corals. Two of the species shown -- Thrombophyton trachydermum and Thrombophyton coronatum -- were co-discovered by Prof. McFadden and Dr. F. G. Hochberg of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
