The Department of Biology is located in the F. W. Olin Science Center, which also houses the Departments of Mathematics and Computer Science. In the biology department, each faculty member has an office and a spacious laboratory for student-faculty research. In addition, the department houses three teaching laboratories, two preparation rooms, darkrooms, a fresh-water animal room, a sea-water room, a walk-in cold room, a storeroom and offices for staff and the Biology Writing Fellow.
