HMC
Consortial Relations

The President of Harvey Mudd College serves on the Board of Overseers, the governing body of the Claremont University Consortium. The Overseers meet three times each year to provide fiduciary oversight and guidance to the CUC administration and programs. The Overseers also promote and approve the founding, from time to time, of additional colleges or other educational institutions at The Claremont Colleges.

In addition, all of The Claremont Colleges presidents serve on the Council of Presidents, which meets monthly. This intercollegiate committee sets policies and priorities for shared programs and identifies common areas for collaborative action. Its decisions are binding on the individual colleges—and frequently have a budgetary impact. The HMC President chairs the Council once every seven years.
