Transfer Packet Checklist

HM Biographical Data Sheet
__ Review all information.
__ Make any needed updates, additions or deletions.
__ Sign form
__ Bring your completed green HM Biographical Data Sheet to Financial Registration which will be held in the Platt Center Green  Room on Wed., Sept. 3 from 8:45a.m. to 3:30p.m.  This form must signed and turned even if no changes have been made.  Financial Registration is to clear financial obligations and obtain a student ID and meal plan.  This is REQUIRED for ALL students.

Registering for Classes
__ Meet with your advisors to plan your schedule.  First-year level courses are to be completed as early as possible.
__ Use a Course Add/Drop form to register for your classes.  You must obtain the signatures of each instructor and your two advisors.  Bring the completed form to the Registrar's Office for processing.
__ Review class schedule print-out for accuracy.
__ You have the first ten days of the semester (until September 15th) to change your schedule (use a Course Add/Drop form).  Transfer students are not charged processing fees for schedule changes during their first year at Harvey Mudd.

Physical Education
Joint PE (JP) classes begin the week of September 8th.  JP sections indicating an arranged time (ARR in the scheduling listings) have the first meeting at Ducey Gym at 11a.m. on Thursday, September 11th.  Pomona  College PE (PO) classes begin the week of September 2nd.  If a PE course requires an additional fee, you will be billed for the entire amount when you add the class.

Pass/Fail Option
One course may be taken on a pass/fail basis per semester (one per department per year). A Pass/Fail form needs to be completed and turned into the Registrar's Office.  No technical core requirements, core electives, or major requirements may be taken pass/fail.

__ Return form to the Office of Public Relations (Thomas-Garrett 204).  Campus mail may be used.

Advisors -
__ Professor Lisa Sullivan will serve as the Humanities/Social  Sciences advisor for all transfer students.  Her office is located in Parsons 1265. 
__ Your Technical/Major advisor has been assigned based on your declared major (3-2 Program) or your expressed interest in a particular area of concentration.
