Overloads (over 18 units) are subject to the approval of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Dean Jacobsen. Ordinarily, a student must have a 3.00 semester GPA the preceding semester to be eligible for an overload. 

Starting with the Fall 2010 semester, Physical Education and Seminar/Colloquium courses will be taught for credit units.  Physical Educations courses will be worth 1.0 credit unit per course (maximum not to exceed 3.0 credit units).  Seminar/Colloquium courses will be worth 0.5 credit units (maximum not to exceed 2.0 credit units).  Neither Physical Education nor Seminar/Colloquium course credit units will be a factor in academic overload consideration.
