HMC
Women's History Month

amelia earhart

Women's History Month is celebrated during the month of March. The Office of Institutional Diversity is happy to celebrate the accomplishments of women in history, the influence of women professors and the diversity that female students bring to campus!

2010 is the 30th anniversary of President Carter issuing the first Presidential Proclamation declaring the week of March 8, 1980 as the first National Women’s History Week. You can find out more about this month of recognition at The National Women's History Project or from the Library of Congress.
