HMC
Latino Heritage Month 2010
Sep 15 - Oct 15, 2010
This year, Latino Heritage Month at HMC was filled with fun, exciting and thought-provoking events. We had great fun at the piñata fiesta, a salsa lesson held by CCBDC dancers in the dining hall, and the tamale fest with flavors from various countries, including Cuba, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Mexico.

Then we dove deeper with a book club that read Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel, and a film screening of Visiones: Latino Art & Culture Film. Both the book and the film are available for check out from the Office of Institutional Diversity, as well as other resources on Latino culture and history.
