Cinco De Mayo Celebration

Cinco de Mayo is a date of great importance for the Mexican and Chicano communities. It marks the victory of the Mexican Army over the French at the Battle of Puebla. Although the Mexican army was eventually defeated, the "Batalla de Puebla" came to represent a symbol of Mexican unity and patriotism.

Black History Month - February 2008

HMC celebrated Black History Month with it's annual "Walk through History" and an emailed "Question of the Day". Please feel free to browse the anthology of these questions here. Also, students from NSBE created an exhibit of their personal histories, including the journeys and experiences of international students.
