Getting Started

On-Campus Interviews
Harvey Mudd College coordinates its recruiting efforts with the other Claremont Colleges: Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, and Scripps.  Therefore, recruiting at HMC allows your organization to interview not only Harvey Mudd students, but students from these other top-notch schools without having to visit each campus individually. In addition, we are now offering employers the option to include graduate students from the two graduate schools in our consortium:  Claremont Graduate University and the Keck Graduate Institute.

On-campus interview visits give you the chance to interview up to 12 candidates in one day. With the use of the MUDDlink system, we are able to make your interview date hassle-free with on-line resume and schedule access before your visit.

Setting up your interviews:

• Go to MUDDlink and request on-campus interviews.
• A confirmation will be sent to your company contact when the date and room has been assigned.
• The interview date will be advertised to students through the shared MUDDlink calendar and our MUDDMines weekly e-newsletter.

On campus interviews conducted in the Office of Career Services are open or pre-selected and posted on MUDDlink for students to view and sign-up. They typically last thirty minutes in length, and take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. If a variation in time is requested, it can be specified on the system.

Company applications and personal data forms requiring completion by students prior to the scheduled interview date can be sent through MUDDlink.  Also, requests for transcripts and other documents can be indicated as well on the system.

If you are unable to come to campus, you can set up a Resume Collect through MUDDlink.  You can then review quality candidates at a time convenient for you. These services are available to you free of charge.

• Your posting will be advertised to students through a shared Claremont Colleges calendar as well as our MUDDMines e-newsletter.

Company Presentations
Presentations can be held at 12:00 noon or 5:30 p.m. in Hoch Shanahan unless otherwise indicated by the Office of Career Services.  These arrangements are made at no charge to your organization.  Please use MUDDlink to reserve a date.  It will be advertised to students on the shared Claremont Colleges calendar and  MUDDMines weekly e-newsletter. Refreshments are not necessary since the students will often bring in their meal trays; however, if you want to provide them, the Office of Career Services will furnish a list of local establishments places upon request.
