Jeanne Noda

Jeanne NodaAs vice president and the dean of students, Jeanne Noda is responsible for Harvey Mudd College’s residential life and student support programs.

Professional Background:
Prior to joining Harvey Mudd College’s senior staff in 1993, Noda spent eight years at the California Institute of Technology as associate dean of students and assistant vice president for student affairs. In earlier positions, she served as assistant dean and director of the M.B.A. program at the College of Business Administration at the University of Illinois in Chicago, and as director of M.B.A. admissions at the School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to working in university administration, Noda was a psychiatric social worker in an outpatient mental health center.

Education:
Noda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in social work from St. Louis University, a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Additional Information:

Noda is an honorary alumnus of Caltech, and, in 1990, was sponsored by the institution to receive the Medal of Excellence from the Women at Work organization in Pasadena, CA. In 2006 Noda received HMC’s Henry T. Mudd Prize for service to the college. She is also a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.
