As vice president for college advancement, Marc Archambault is responsible for Harvey Mudd College’s fundraising and communications efforts. The Office of College Advancement includes the following: College Relations, Advancement Services, Corporate Relations and Foundation Relations and Government Support.
Professional Background:
Before joining Harvey Mudd College in 2007, Archambault had been at Purdue University in Indiana since 2000. There, he began as director of advancement and alumni relations in the university’s Department of Biological Sciences, and later become senior director of advancement for Discovery Park and university foundation relations. Prior to Purdue, Archambault was the associate director of grants and contracts at the University of Houston. He has also held the posts of executive director of the W.M. Keck Center for Computational Biology in Houston, public information officer for the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Mass., and promotions manager in the marketing department of the University of Chicago Press.
Education:
Archambault holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in physics and English (magna cum laude) from St. Michael’s College in Vermont and a certificate in fundraising management (CFRM) from the Center for Philanthropy at Indiana University.
Additional Information:
Archambault is a former member of the board of trustees of Family Services, Inc., a nonprofit regional community service organization based in Lafayette, Ind. He is a three-time invited speaker and panelist for Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s national Corporate and Foundation Relations conference series.
