Harvey Mudd College’s Office of Emergency Preparedness and Safety (OEPS) operates within the Facilities and Maintenance Department and is responsible for the development and implementation of campus wide emergency preparedness, emergency response and occupational and laboratory safety. 

The OEPS provides specialized training sessions, practice drills, workplace safety programs, informational bulletins and provides resources to assist students, faculty and staff of the college.

OEPS reports to Theresa Potter, Assistant Vice President of Facilities and Maintenance and Emergency Preparedness. Melonee Cruse is HMC’s Emergency and Safety Coordinator.
