Harvey Mudd College Statement on Nondiscrimination
(Revised 2006)

Harvey Mudd College (HMC) does not discriminate unlawfully on the basis of race, color, sex (gender or gender identity), sexual orientation, age, marital status, religion, disability, national origin, ethnic origin, prior military service or any other basis prohibited by state or federal law in any of its policies, procedures and practices, including admission
policies, educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, employment policies, and other college-administered programs and activities.

This statement is in compliance with Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other requirements of federal and state law. HMC’s Assistant Vice President for Human Resources is responsible for coordinating the college’s nondiscrimination effort. Inquiries or complaints concerning the application of Title IX, Section 504, or any other equal opportunity legal requirements of this institution should be referred to the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources.

It is the policy of Harvey Mudd College, pursuant to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, not to exclude any qualified handicapped person, solely by reason of such person’s handicap, from participation in or the benefits of our programs and activities, or otherwise to discriminate against such persons under any of our programs or activities.
The Dean of Students Office (DOS) and the Office of Institutional Diversity (OID) serve as resources for students wishing to address sexism, racism and homophobia at The Claremont Colleges.
