This year more than 255 students are participating in Presentation Days. There are over 53 research talks from students in each of the majors. Students in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences are examining the role of the book in Western Culture, presenting studies and research reports on issues in psychology, and performing new musical compositions. The results of the Engineering Design Projects, involving 14 teams of freshman and sophomore students working on four design projects, will be presented.
The keynote speaker for Presentation Days 2000 was Michael Sailor, HMC alumnus from the Class of 83 and professor of chemistry at the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Sailor spoke on "Nanoengineering."
The Presentation Days Committee consists of William Alves, Sally Rich Arroyo, Andrew Bernoff, Chih-Yung Chen, Eric Ditwiler, Adam Johnson, Geoff Kuenning, Ruye Wang, and is chaired by Catherine McFadden.
