The Parents Association offers several modes of communication to help you stay connected to the College as well as with other parents.

• Parents-Announce-L
  This email list is maintained by the college to keep parents informed of campus news. Information that will have a parent interest is posted through this format. Some examples of postings are financial aid/tuition payment deadlines; campus events/activities; Parents Association activities and opportunities; and campus security reports. To subscribe to this list, simply email parents@hmc.edu. In the subject line, type “subscribe Parents-Announce-L”. In the body, type both your and your student’s names and your student’s class year.

• Parent Yahoo! Chat List
  Current parents have activated a “chat” list through Yahoo!. This list provides a forum for the parents of past and present Harvey Mudd students to share information and opinions. This chat group is not sponsored by Harvey Mudd College. You can find more information at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hmcparents.
  
  
• Parents Roster
  This is a document, sorted by both alpha and zip code order, that includes parent contact information. Only parents who have signed up to participate in the roster are included and receive a copy. This tool is compiled in order to facilitate communication among parents with students currently enrolled at Harvey Mudd College. To sign up, simply fill out the Parent Resource Questionnaire (PDF) and return it to the Parent Programs Office.

• Parents Handbook
  This is an informal publication offering parents a support resource for those frequently asked questions. It conveys this information in a “what parents need to know” format. Compiled by parents who have been through these situations, the Parents Handbook (PDF) includes topics ranging from what students should bring to campus to where you might stay and eat while visiting Claremont. The handbook also contains a directory of HMC contact information so you can get in touch with the appropriate office if you require further information.

• Parent Resource Questionnaire
  This document invites parents to become involved in Parents Association activities. Simply fill out the questionnaire (PDF) and return it to the Parent Programs Office.
  
  
• Parents Gateway Page
  HMC maintains a webpage of resources specific to parents. Offering a variety of helpful links, the parents gateway helps you maneuver through the new college website so you can quickly and easily find what you're looking for. Suggestions to enhance its usefulness are always welcome.
