Job Title:Lab/Printer/Copier Support          

 

Summary of Duties: Verify that lab systems are functional.  Keep printer paper loaded in all trays.  Change printer toner as needed.  Report issues via tracking system when problems are to be noted.  As needed replace toner cartridges for Administrative offices. Recycle toner cartridges and update toner logs.  Assist  with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and placing service calls for benched systems. Occasionally assist in setup and configuration of new printers. 

Desired/Required Skills: Basic knowledge of HMC lab images & network and troubleshooting skills. Desire to learn set-up and configuration of networked printers. Must be able to commit to a semester-long schedule and be familiar with both Mac and PC platforms.      

Suggested Hourly Wage: Std Wage              Total Hours Per Week:

Estimated hours Per Student/Week: 4-6 per position  (Weekends possible)

Job Title: Filemaker Specialist                      Currently Filled: 0

 

Summary of Duties: Will provide support for Administrative and Academic HMAD-users.  Assist with recovering damaged FMP files, upgrades and general maintenance of web documentation as needed.  Assist users with Filemaker problems, assist departments in developing databases and putting them on the web.  Assist in debugging and improvements of HMAD to make it more robust (i.e. revise scripts, layouts, reports).  

 

Desired/Required Skills: Working knowledge of PC/Mac hardware and software conflicts with Filemaker applications.  Programming and scripting skills.  Networking and web experience relative to Filemaker desired.  Well-rounded knowledge of Filemaker Pro from a developer’s perspective.

Summary of Duties: Reporting to the Operations Administrator. – Data entry to the office’s purchasing and accounting system; answer phones; obtain quotes from vendors as directed; process purchasing, RFC’s and payroll paperwork; copying; filing; mail runs; office errands.

 

Desired/Required Skills: Must be attentive to detail and able to proof own work.  Computer experience and familiarity with Word and Filemaker Pro a plus.  Must be reliable and have the ability to work with little supervision.
