Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

Our next maintenance window is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2009, from 6 pm to 9 pm.

The following is scheduled for that period:

1) Update Matlab research license
We will be updating the Matlab research license on the Matlab license server to version 2009a.  The FlexLM service will be restarted during the update.
For a period of 20 seconds, users may not be able to launch the academic research version of Matlab.  Those who have Matlab already open should not experience an interruption.

2) Update Student Accounts Portal pages
The "My Accounts" portlet on the Portal will be updated with new and tested code.  The "My Accounts" area on the Portal may be unavailable for a period of no longer than 10 minutes.  The Portal will remain up and available.
No user action is required.

3) Update Staff Employment form
We will be replacing the online Staff Employment form with a newer and updated version.  When an applicant submits a job application, the applicant and HR will get an updated email confirmation.  The form will continue to be available during the maintenance window, and no user action is required.
