How Family Can Help
It’s important to encourage your student to get involved in campus activities and to use the many resources available to assist with his or her academic learning. Employers and graduate programs seek candidates who are both academically excellent and well-rounded. Some of the typical attributes that they seek are: leadership, responsibility, self-knowledge, team work, verbal and written communication skills, initiative, flexibility, adaptability, self-confidence, interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently. Extracurricular activities help students develop these qualities.
