FAQ’s

How do I register for Alumni Weekend?
Online registration will be available November 30, 2009.  You will also receive the official Alumni Weekend brochure in the mail (early spring 2010) which you can complete and return.

Do I have to register in advance?
To better prepare for the weekend’s activities we ask that you pre-register by March 30, 2010.  Of course alumni are welcome to register at the door, however, the incentive of early registration is reflected in discounted registration fees.

What are the registration and event costs of Alumni Weekend?
There are different costs associated with each event, and will be listed in detail once the schedule of events is finalized along with online registration on November 30, 2009.

If I’m not in a reunion year should I still attend?
Absolutely!
Alumni Weekend is about HMC alumni reconnecting, and catching up with classmates, friends and faculty.  Reunions happen at Alumni Weekend.

How do I get to campus?
The most convenient airport is Ontario International. If you are flying into LAX, the best way to get to campus is to take the 105 Century Freeway East from LAX to the 605 North to the 10 East.

Honor Code and Conduct on Campus

The Honor Code extends beyond students, to include faculty and staff as well as alumni who attend Alumni Weekend and other events on campus to reconnect in a fun and safe environment.

Although we never anticipate alumni misconduct, Harvey Mudd College does have policies to prevent injury or harm to students, faculty and staff.  Please note that HMC’s alcohol policy, which exists to comply with federal law, is in full effect for alumni visitors, as well as for current students of HMC. The policy dictates that alcoholic beverages cannot be served to minors, and that alcohol cannot be served in public places which have not been enclosed, or for which there is not proper security in place. Meaning, alcohol cannot be taken into the dorm courtyards, and impromptu parties cannot occur on grassy lawns. Should non-compliance occur, alumni will be asked to leave the premises, and authorities involved if necessary.
