Dear Class of 2012,

Welcome to Harvey Mudd College!  In the coming four years, you will be fulfilling an exciting set of course requirements, and as you navigate our curriculum you will be faced with a  number of important options and choices.  In order to help you achieve your goals, understand your requirements and make informed decisions, we will have a corps of first-year advisors who are ready to coach you and answer your questions.  You will be paired up with an advisior, who will meet with you, alone or in a group, in the first week of classes.  This advisor will be your point person in the first few years, until you choose a major and find a major advisor.

Advising done well can be an important part of your college experience and we are trying to make it a true partnership between students and advisors.  You have a choice here, already.  In order to optimize your advising experience, we offer advising in three different formats, which are described in the Advising Workshops Form located on the left-hand navigation link on this page.
